The underlying and motivating factor in the growth story of the Group is her passion for providing innovation in services and offerings. All MAGSONS outlets are equipped with the latest state of the art Refrigeration and Display equipment, shelving and merchandizing tools, closed circuit surveillance equipment and a fully customized ERP and CRM software.
In due time, the Group realized the fact that Goa was turning into an international destination for tourism, business and travel and even the local populace, due to the Portuguese influence in the State, had a natural understanding of fine meats, wines and premium food products. This was when MAGSONS ventured into niche categories of exhaustive varieties of locally sourced and international quality food products such as Spanish and Italian meats, French cheese, Swiss chocolates and Australian, South African, Chilean and French wines, to name a few. The ‘gourmet’ section of the Stores expanded fast with premium categories taking pride of place and the ‘desirability’ factor amongst customers growing exponentially.
To cater to these demands, MAGSONS created separate verticals of “Gourmet”, “Retail” and “Convenience” Stores to target specific consumer catchment areas.
The introduction of the “SUPERCARD” programme in 2010 catapulted customer loyalty and helped track and mine customer shopping habits and needs and helped in forecasting individual customer demands and preferences. What followed next was the introduction of the Magsons GOLDCARD for high-end shopping members.
